Chronic alcoholic myopathy is common in alcohol misusers, It has been reported that there are about 1/3-2/3 alcoholist whose muscle was affected. Nowadays more and more people began to abuse ethanol to remove pression, which lead to lots of people become alcoholic patients who frequently have difficulties in gait, and various muscle symptoms such as cramps, local pain and reduced muscle mass. Most organs of the body are affected such as liver, brain, heart and skeletal muscle. However much research focus on alcoholic liver disease and heart disease, there are only some clinic reports about chronic alcoholic myopathy. Alcoholic myopathy is far more common than overt liver disease such as cirrhosis or alcoholic myocardiopathy, it is very important to research the pathogenthy of alcoholic myopathy, which can improve the methods of treating this kind of myopathy. Researchers have observed that TNF-αand NF-κB are key role in skeletal muscle weakness, and alcohol myopathy is characterised by selective atrophy of Type II (anaerobic, white glycolic) muscle fibres. We may find some relationship between TNF-α, NF-κB and alcohol myopathy.Object The project is on the basis of chronic alcoholic myopathy model of rat, to observe the expression change of TNF-αand NF-κB in muscle cell, observe the function in the mechanism of alcohol myopathy, provide a new way about the therapy of this disease.Material and method 80 health, male rats(weight 180~200g), were divided into control group(n=25) and operated group(n=55). Operated group was treated with alcohol. control group was given sucrose which...
