Section OneTo study the interaction anxiousness status of new recruits in Chinese People's Armed Police Force and its associated factors.ObjectiveTo understand the interaction anxiousness status and its associated factors of new recruits in Chinese People's Armed Police Force, and to provide guidance for improving the mental health level.Subjects and MethodsBy random group sampling, 980 recruits with a mean age of 18.41 ±1.03 years were investigated using questionnaires survey in January , 2005. Among 980 collected questionnaires, 976 were effective with an effective rate of 99.49%. The questionnaire survey was conducted using Interaction Anxiousness Scale (IAS), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ), Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS), Self Esteem Scale (SES).All data were input into a computer to establish a database using Foxpro 6.0 and processed using SPSS 11.5 software package.
