Objective: To investigate changes of the serum pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A) level in the patients with acute coronary syndrome and it's clinical relevancy with C-reactive protein(CRP), WBC, troponin I, CK-MB, LDL-C and the atherosclerosis of carotid and coronary artery; To evaluate the early predictive value in acute coronary syndrome about PAPP-A combining these risk factors. Methods: There were 60 coronary heart disease (CHD) patients diagnosised by CAG include 40 ACS patients and 20 stable angina patients and 20 non-CAD patients excluded by CAG as the control group. The serum PAPP-A was detected by ELISA and the level of CRP, WBC, troponin I, CK-MB, LDL-C and fibrinogen were detected at one time. High frequency carotid ultralsound and CAG were performed in all patients . Results: in the patients with ACS, the serum PAPP-A level of AMI group and UA group are (5.14±4.74) and (4.69±4.0) mIU/L respectively, but the serum PAPP-A level of SA group and...
