Study DesignTo collect the history and radiology of the patients who were diagnosed as burst fracture. During the course of operation we collect the superior and inferior disc end-plates cartilage .using histological method to observe the changes of important inflammatory mediator (IL-1/3) and iNOS which was express in post-trauma end-plate cartilage. ObjectiveTo compare the injury extents of superior and inferior cartilage end-plates of burst fracture and discuss the possible pathologic mechanism of the post-traumatic disc changes. BackgroundClinical doctor found that after a trauma the degeneration in the injury disk accelerated. But the current disc research was focused on the natural degeneration mechanism.
