Objection: To explore the indications, contraindications, surgical techniquesand experiences of CO2 laser surgery for laryngeal carcinoma undermicrolaryngoscopy.Methods: Forty-five cases of laryngeal cancer were treated by CO2 laserunder microlaryngoscopy. Four of them were Tis, 28were T1aN0M0, 6wereT1bN0M0, and 7 were T2N0M0. One case treated by radiotherapy beforeand three cases after operation.Results: During 16 months to 3.5 years following-up, except two cases died(one died for other disease) and one case lose, 42 cases are alive withoutrecurrent signs. The clinical survival-rate were as follows: 1 years in44(97.8%), 2 years in 31 (93.9%), 3 years in 10 (83.3%)Conclusion: It was reliable to use microsurgery laser surgery in treatment ofearly glottic laryngeal cancer. The advantages of it included lower localrecurrent rate, high survival rate and lower complication rate. All Patients didnot need to have tracheotomy, and vocal function was well remained.
