Objective: To study the difference of retina artery branch angle among the youth, the old and the hypertension patients. Methods: 157cases(157 eyes) who were examined by FFA during Jan 2004 to Oct 2005 were divided into three groups, namely, the youth group, the old group and the hypertension patients groups. (1) 35 cases were the youth groups who had not diabetic, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, gloucoma and deformity of the retinal vessel or nerve tissue, named group A. (2) 37 cases were the old groups who had not diabetic, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, gloucoma or deformity of the retinal vessel or nerve tissue, but some of them had retinal arteriosclerosis founded by direct ophthalmoscope, named group B. (3) 85 cases were hypertension patients. All of them were diagnosed primary hypertension, and were devided into three groups: 37 cases were in state of I period (group C1); 22 cases were in state of II periods (groups C2); and 26 cases were in period of III (groups C3). Their couse of disease were range from several months to fifties years. And they have not diabetic, hyperlipidemia, gloucoma and deformity of the retinal vessel or nerve tissue. All patients were examined by the most advanced presantly Herdbeg-II fluorescin Angiography system. We measured the third artery branch angle of retina in the right eye with Potoshop7.0 software, and staticed the date with SPSS11.5.0 software. Summary statistics were expressed as mean ± SEM in all figures, Differences among the groups were compared by t-test.
