The Antihypertension constitutent from Lysimachia fortunei Maxim had been extracted and purified. Carotid artery catheter and BL-420 multimedia biological signal analysis system were used to observe the change of blood pressure before and intravenously. We found the Antihypertension constitutent from Lysimachia fortunei Maxim were polysaccharides.Lysimachia fortunei Maxim crude polysaccharides were purified by deprotinzed Sevage method, gel chromatography , the two acidic polysaccharides LFMP1 and LFMP2 were obtained. The apparent average molecular weight of LFMP1 and LFMP2 was estimated to be approximately 15100 and 3200 respectively by HLPC. LFMP1 characterizations were found from IR. The components of two kinds of polysaccharides were identified by TLC:glucose and glucuronic acid were found to be in LFMP1,which is pyranose linked both byα-andβ- glycosidic bonds, one anomeric carbon found; arabinose is found in LFMP2 mainly and two anomeric carbon found. The antihypertension test showed that LFMP2 can lower blood pressure of normal rats effectively and showed a in a dose dependent manner.
