Objective:Disorders of calcium and phosphorus are common and widespread in peritoneal dialysis, Disorders of calcium and phosphorus participate in the developing process of secondary hyperparathyroidism and renal osteodystrophy Elevated Hyperphosphataemia and multiplication of calcium and phosphorus are the important dangerous factors on cardiac valve calcification .We analysis the relationship between calcium and phosphorus metabolism level and cardiac valve calcification. To inquire into the relevant factor of cardiac valve calcification and phosphorus metabolism to cardiac valve calcification. To investigate the prevention and treatment of calcium and phosphorus metabolism to cardiac valve calcification in CAPD patients. Methods: Among 54 continued ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients (males /females=30/24), the average peritoneal dialysis patients exchange peritoneal dialysis solution 35 times everyday. All patients didn't have severe peritoneal infection ,liver disease heart decline. Meanwhile, calcium, phosphonium, serum creatinine, cholesterol, albumin, parathyroid hormone parathyrin were analysis. Calcium–phosphorus product, KT/V and Ccr were calculated. The grouping were divided : 1. according to the residual renal function, we set two group .2. according to calcium–phosphorus product, we set high product group and low product group . 3. According the dose of peritoneal dialysate exchanged everyday, we set 3 different groups.4. According the time of undergoing dialysis, we set 6 months-1 year group, 1-3 years group and >3 years group . 5. according to the different level of cardiac valve calcification,we set different group. Results:Among 54 CAPD patients have the disorder of calcium and phosphorus metabolism commonly. 33 dialysis patients had cardiac valve calcification with different level. The patients with higher calcium–phosphorus product were higher in serum phosphorus ,serum PTH and longer dialysis time(P< 0.05or0.01).Along with the increase of dialysis dose ,the serum phosphorus and serum cre were lower(P<0.05or0.01).The more residual renal function, the lower serum phosphorus and calcium–phosphorus product(P<0.05or0.01) .The longer peritoneal dialysis time, the more severer cardiac valve calcification(P<0.01). Patients with valve calcification had higher serum phosphate level ,calcium–phosphorus product, PTH and lower serum albumin than no valve calcification(P<0.05or0.01).Conclusions:1. Disorders of calcium and phosphorus are common and widespread in peritoneal dialysis and cardiac valve calcification. The higher serum phosphate level, calcium–phosphorus product are the important factors.2. The residual renal function play an important role in the course of the serum phosphate distincted.3. The nutritional status is correlate to the peritoneal dialysis time and valve calcification .The longer dialysis time, the severer valve calcification the higher serum phosphate level and calcium–phosphorus product, PTH, the lower nutritional status.4. The higher serum phosphate level and calcium–phosphorus product correlate to cardiac valve calcification closely. They are the important dangerous factors to cardiac valve calcification.
