Objective:To investigate the protective effect of the extraction of prescription A on the experimental cerebral ischemia in rats. Grasp the basic effect substances of the prescription and offer the experimental attestations for extend its area of clinical treatment.Method: Using the middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) induced wirh FeCl3, so as the the physical sign indexes, brain infarct size the water content, and the content of lactate(LD),glutathione peroxidase(GPx), catalase(CAT), malondialdehyde(MDA) to take affect for observe index, investigate the protective effect of the extraction of prescription A on the MCAO in rats. Rats'cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury model was established by the method of the bilateral common carotid artery were ligated , measure the water content of brain in one side ,and he content of lactate(LD),glutathione peroxidase(GPx), catalase(CAT), malondialdehyde(MDA) of brain in another side. Combine lipopolysaccharide(LPS) and carrogeenin(Ca) to induce stagnation of blood model in rats, measure the length of the thrombus in the tail of rats after 24 hours,once a day.Take the blood from endaortery in abdomen after 120 hours and measure the blood rheology.Result: The 0.36,0.71g.kg-1 dosage groups of the extract of prescription A decreased the neurosigns indexes, significantly reduced the brain infarct areas in MCAO rats, decreased the brain water content, increased the activities of GPx and CAT, decreased the content of LD and MDA in bilateral common carotid artery ligation rats. They improved the blood rheology in lipopolysaccharide(LPS) in combination with carrogeenin(Ca)-induced stagnation of blood model rats.Conclusion:The result of the experiment showed that the extract of prescription A can decreased the neurosigns indexes, significantly reduced the brain infarct areas in MCAO rats, decreased the brain water content and injury of cerebral tissue.It can reduce the blood viscosity of stagnation of blood model rats and improve the blood rheology. The result indicated the extract of prescription A has the function of protective effect on experimental experimental cerebral ischemia,and offered the experimental attestations for extend its area of clinical treatment.
