This thesis was divided into 3 parts. In Part 1, the chemical constituents of Caulerpa racemosa var peltata(Lamx. ) Eubank and the antiviral activities of the crude extracts were studied. The chromatographies were applied to the separation and purification process of the crude extracts. The structures were determined by IR, NMR, etc.One compound and two mixture chemical compounds were isolated and their structures were determined to be as: (1)Hexadecanoic acid; (2)a mixture of 2 sterols: clerosterol and codisterol; (3) a mixture of 4 sterols : cholesterol , cholest-5-en-3-ol(β )-ol, Campesterol, Stigmasta-5,22-dien-3-ol,confirmed by the method of GC-MS, IR,NMRIn the essays of antiviral activities of the crude extracts , the cytotoxicity and activity of the crude extracts on culture Vero cell and Hela cell were investigated by MTT and CPE methods. The results indicate that, no obvious cytotoxicity was found at high concentration of crude extracts, and no obvious antvirus activity.In Part 2, the sulphated polysaccharides from Caulerpa racemosa var peltata(Lamx. ) Eubank were extracted by the method of hot water. Total sugar, sulphated contents, the functional groups, monosaccharide compositions, element abundance of the polysaccharides were determined.The effect of polysaccharides against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1)and COxsacckie virus(CoxB3) were analyzed .The cytotoxicity and activity of sulfated polysaccharides fractions on culture Vero cell and Hela cell were investigated by MTT and CPE methods. The results indicate that the sulfated polysaccharides of the green alga Caulerpa racemosa var peltata(Lamx. ) Eubank (CP) have obvious antiviral activity.To study the immunomodulatory effect of the polysaccharides in NK cells and T cells of normal mice through intraperitoneal injectied ways.The results indicate that the polysaccharides of Caulerpa racemosa var peltata(Lamx. ) Eubank obviously decreased the percentage of CD3+ ,CD4+,CD8+ in peripheral blood lymphocyte (P <...
