Objectives:1 To investigate the expression of HGF and bFGF in the human placenta from normal pregnancy and fetal growth restriction(FGR), to study the variety of vascular density in the placental villi, and to explore the role of HGF, bFGF and angiogenesis on the development of FGR.2 To observe the ultrastructure of the placenta in FGR and to investigate the pathogenesis of FGR.Methods:1 30 samples(control group n=15, FGR group n=15) were collected in this study. The staining intensity and distribution of HGF and bFGF in these placental samples by image analysis technique, and a sterological study on the full-term placental villous capillary were evaluated with anti-CD34 as the labelled vascular endothelial cells.2 Electron microscopy was used to observe the ultrastructure of trophoblasts and capillaries in 6 samples (control group n=3, FGR group n=3).Results:1 HGF and bFGF were localized in the trophoblasts, villous stroma cells and the villous capillary endothelial cells. In trophoblasts, the staining intensity of HGF...
