Aim: Observe four different brand 0.06 gutter-percha's dimension changes when them were heated in different circumferential media.Method: Attached the four different brand 0.06 gutter-perchas on the same plane with same length. Their tips were placed on the same line. Note the length change from 30°C. The same procedures were carried out in water and glycerol five times. The data was analyzed by SPSS 13.0 for windows for their correlations. Result: By the 50°C temperature, the four brand GP all had dimension change, the length shrinkage by heat were almost less than 0.5mm until the 80°C . Conclusions: As the four different brands GP were heated in water and glycerol, there were differential dimensional change when the temperature was over 50°C.And the length changing were different as the circumferential media different, which maybe implicate when GP was put into different sealers in clinical practice, they maybe have different dimensional change when heated. The elicit from this test was the four different brand GP all had dimensional stability under normaltemperature.
