| Objective: To observe the curative effect of postpartum depression by The back-shu and the front-mu combining source and network points, according to the scoring of Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) and Rating Scale for Side Effects (SERS), and to offer clinical basis for the therapy.Methods: 41 patients are divided into an acupunctural group (21 cases) and a compare group (20 cases), which treated merely by taking MAPROTILINE HYDROCHLORIDE TABLETS with regular dosage. Observe the scoring of HAMD and SERS in four weeks.Results: The effective rate of the acupunctural group is 92%, which is semblable to the drug group. No significant differencesConclusion: There is significant curative effect on postpartum depression by the back-shu and the front-mu combining source and network points. The changes of scores on HAMD by this therapy correspond to the way treating by western medicine. Distinctly fewer side-effects appear, compared with treating by western medicine. It is a safe and effective way to treat postpartum depression by the back-shu and the front-mu combining source and network points. |
