【Background】Nose-sinusitis is a common and frequently-occurring ENT disease. It has the high morbidity, a long disease history and various pathogenesis characteristic. Through the clinical verification, we found the endoscopic sinus surgery has the definite efficacy for the nose-sinusitis. But along with the development and maturity of this technology, the clinical attention begin to turn to tend the cavity after surgery and the comprehensive treatment. It is the Perioperative integrated process. The viewpoint of the integrated treatment that it can not gain the reliable efficacy just relying on the surgery and neglecting the tendance after surgery has been accpeted by majority people. Chinese medicine with the holistic conception, diagnosis based on overall analysis of patient's condition, various treat method characteristic plays an important role during the prevention process of the nose-sinusitis. For a long time, many units and individuals did a great deal of chronic sinusutis chinese medicine research and achieved some succese.【Purpose and significance】Currently, we also continue to use the standard of Chinese Medical Association which formulated in 1997 to diagnose the chronic sinusitis(namely Haikou standard). According to the standard, we divided the clinical types as per the span of the pathology. It can not provide the adequate, accurate and perfect basis for making the treatment plan and estimating recovery situation not to consider the pathogenesis and the effect of the different pathological types for the efficacy. I will use the more objective and scientific indication—pathological type, to observe the relationship between the chronic sinustis and the change of the mucosa after surgery. Through the exploration, we will research the relativity of the interfering and the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine for different pathological types of chronic nose-sinusitis, and the interfering and the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine for the effect of the change of mucosa. Then according to this treatment plan, I will observe patient's partial symptoms and varying situatin of nasal cavity and sinus mucous membrane after endoscopic sinus surgery.【The results and conclusions】1. The curative effect of chronic nose-sinusitis FESS surgery is concerned with the pathology type. Different pathology type has different effect.2. Chinese medicine diagnosis based on overall analysis of patient's condition has advantage of integrated treatment, which can ease partial symptom of after surgery and shorten course of disease.
