Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is the heart important response of its capacity of the various dynamic load bearing and the body fluid changes in hormone. Hypertension is the most common cause of LVH. LVH can be a series of biochemical, ultra-structural, myocardial energy metabolism, and blood changes in diastolic function , the above factors eventually lead to deterioration of heart function and it can be assumed that LVH in essence represents a process of myocardial diseases.LVH complex mechanism. Recently , it was found that hypertensive cardiac hypertrophy is that the result from proliferation, hypertrophy and apoptosis-related gene expression in common. Nuclear factor - kappa B (Nuclear factor kappa B, NF-kB) as a key nuclear transcription factors that control gene expression and activation. Therefore, study of NF-kB will provide for finding the molecular mechanism of hypertension and treatment of cardiac hypertrophy with new ideas and direction.Instructor Li created Chinese medicine compound Xinshukang based on the differential treatment and long-term clinical practice. That will be the focus on study for Xinshukang treatment of Goldblott renal hypertensive rats (G-RHR) .Through the influence of drugs on renal hypertensive rats blood pressure, left ventricular mass index , myocardial tissue pathological , morphometric parameters of myocardial and NF-κB expression in myocardial to evaluate the efficacy of Xinshukang.The results show: (1) Xinshukang have a good antihypert-ensive effect. (2) Xinshukang has an effect to decrease left ventricular mass index, the size of myocardial cells and inhibit stromal cells fibrosis. (3) Observation of rat myocardial tissue pathological , ultrastructural by optical microscopy , electron microscopy, the results confirmed that Xinshukang have an effect to reduce myocardial cells variability and ultra-structural damage. (4) Immunohistochemical staining results show that Xinshukan can reduce NF-κB expression of myocardial, and thus serve the role to reduce and reversal of LVH. These results confirmed that Chinese medicine compound Xinshukang have a remarkable role in antihypertensive , reduce and reversal adverse remodeling of vascular, myocardial and myocardial interstitial and reversal LVH.
