Correlative Research On Therapeutic Interventions In Carotid Artery Imtima-medialthickness Of Patients With Primary Hypertension

ObjectivesTo evaluate the different efficacy of atorvastatin+amlodipineand amlodipine in treatment of essential hypertensive patients. Toobserve the different change of lipids,inflammatory factor andcarotid structure, to investigate:1, the efficacy of low doseatorvastatin in development of artherosclerosis and correlativefactor;2, the relation of functionary of atorvastatin inlipid-lowering in and beyond lipid-lowering.Methods151 essential hypertensive patients with LDL-C between2.58-4.9mmol/L were randomly divided into 3 groups: atorvastation10mg group (n=50) recevie 10mg atorvastation and amlodipine/+benazepril; atorvastation 20mg group(n=61)receive 20mgatorvastation and amlodipine/+benazepril; the control group(n=40)recevie amlodipine/+benazepril. rhe patients were detected lipids,inflammatory factor and carotid structure every 3 months, observationtime is 1 year.Resultsatorvastatin 10mg and atorvastatin 20mg groups havesignificantly change: LDL-C level was decreased by 30% in aatorvastatin 10mg group and 40.48% in 20mg grouprespectively(P＜0.01); 2, VWF,P-selectin and hs-CRP weredecreased(P＜0.01);3, IMT was decreased (P＜0.01),△dia-P% and△dia-N% were increased(P＜0.01);4, there are no relation onlipid-lowerin and beyond lipid-lowering functionary ofatorvastation.Conclusion1. Nomal dose atorvastatin can delay the development of artherosclerosis in hypertensive patients with normal LDL-C, andimprove endothelial function at the same time.2. Nomal dose atorvastatin has intensive lipid-loweringfunction;3. Nomal dose atorvastatin has anti-inflammatory action.4. the function of atorvastatin improve vessel streturefunction and anti-inflammatory action is indepent on lipid-lowering.5. atorvastation+amlodipine is safe and effective therapy methodto artherosclerosis,and is proper to chinese elderly people.
