Health Administration In Chongqing During The Anti-Japanese War

Along With the rapid development of our country's urban construction, the city history research is attracting more and more researchers. Since the 1990s, the research of Chinese modern city history got plentiful results, but still lacked the monographic study about the health administration of Chongqing during the anti-Japanese War.With the relevant archives and documents, the thesis makes a systematic and through analysis on the Health administration in Chongqing during the anti-Japanese war.This thesis consists of four chapters: the first chapter reviewed the basic conditions of Chongqing before the anti-Japanese War especially the medical service condition and described the evolution of the Chongqing health administrative department. The second chapter explained the management of health including medical administration, environmental health, prevention and cure for contagious disease, hygiene and so on. The third chapter introduced the administration and measures of emergency medical services in wartime. The fourth chapter discusses the effects of health administration in Chongqing systematically and deeply. Based on the four chapters, the thesis affirms that the policy and measures taken by national government, Chongqing municipal government attained positive effect to the Chongqing health development, but also points out some defects for various reasons during the war time.The thesis contains three highlights. First, this thesis expounded the health administrative organization of Chongqing during the anti-Japanese war and Policies and measures of health administration for the first time .It has developed the Chongqing city history research space. Second, this thesis introduced the administration and measures of emergency medical services in Chongqing during the anti-Japanese war for the first time. Third, the thesis tries to broaden the research scope of Chongqing modern history research. Meanwhile, we hope that this research for the health care industry and other interested parties to provide historical reference.
