Diagnostic Value Of High Frequency Ultrasonography And Mammography For Breast Malignant Tumor | Posted on:2008-12-05 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:J Sun | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2144360218459152 | Subject:Medical Imaging | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective: To assess the diagnostic value of high frequency ultrasonography and mammography for breast malignant tumor and analyse the misdiagnosis and overlooked-diagnosis reasons of ultrasound.Methods: We retrospectively studied the results of ultrasonography and mammography of 318 cases of breast malignant tumor (328 lesions) confirmed pathologically.Results: The correct diagnosis rates (CDR) of ultrasonography and mammography were 82.01%(269/328) and 80.18% (263/328),respectively with no significant differences(P>0.05), but the CDR raised to 92.99%(305/328) when the two methods were combined for diagnosis, which was significantly different(P>0.05) from that obtained by ultrasonography or mammography alone.Conclusions: The high frequency ultrasonography can be the first choice for diagnosing breast malignant tumor. Ultrasonography combined with mammography can increase the CDR of breast malignant tumor.
