Experiment Studies On Juvenile Bronchial Asthma Treated With Xiao Chuan Pill

Objective: The aim of this paper was to discuss the therapeutic effect of Xiao Chuan Pill (XCP) in the treatment of acute episode of Juvenile Bronchial Asthma on molecular level on the basis of previous clinical and experiment studies. Methods: Fifty guinea pigs were randomly divided into 5 groups:normal group, blank grope ,western medicine group , small dose XCP group, large dose XCP group. Among these groups, the last four groups were made models of cold asthma before lavaging. Normal group was not treated with medicine; blank group was lavaged with physiological saline ; western medicine group was lavaged with Terbutaline; small dose TCM group was lavaged with small dose XCP;large dose TCM group was lavaged with large dose XCP .We observed symptom of guinea pigs before and after lavaging. We also detected the contents of ET-1,IL-4,Eotaxin and ECP in guinea pigs blood of different group to discuss therapeutic effect and mechanism of XCP. Results: XCP, compared with blank group, can obviously relieve symptom and decrease the contents of ET-1,IL-4,Eotaxin and ECP. Conclusion: XCP can obviously relieve symptom, relieve influence of cold stimulation to body weight of guinea pigs, prolong incubation period, shorten time of asthma and cold sign,and decrease the contents of ET-1,IL-4,Eotaxin and ECP obviously .These results indicated that XCP can spasmolysis,regulate immunization and restrain inflammation.This research provided a reliable foundation for clinical treatment of acute episode of Juvenile Bronchial Asthma with XCP.
