Analysis On Short-term Curative Effects Of Stage â…  And â…¡ Breast Cancer Patients Treated By Breast Conserving Surgery And Modified Radical Mastectomy.

Objective:To contrast short-term curative effects of breast cancer treated by breast conserving surgery (BCS) and modified radical mastectomy (MRM). Methods:Retrospectively analyzed case history of 85 cases treated by BCS and 138 cases MRM in stageâ… -â…¡breast cancer from January 2003 to November 2005,then followed up them .Results:There is no statistical difference between BCT and MRM of stageâ… ,â…¡breast cancer on 3-year disease-free survival rates , overall survival rates, local recurrence rates and metastatic rates. 48 cases undergoing BCS were followed up after 6 months after surgery, the cosmetic satisfactory rate of which was 93.75%. Conclusion:Short-term curative effects of BCS is similar to that of MRM in curing stageâ… andâ…¡breast cancer patients.BCS is the first choice for them which reduced the range of surgery ,conserved the outline of the breast,achieved good cosmetic results and improved the life quality of the patients.
