The Analysis In 984 Cases Proportion Of Hospitalized Patients With Cataract

Objective:To investigate the proportion of different types of Cataract, distribution of genders,ages,nationalities and economic standard,as well as the changes, of inpatients with cataract,to provide new epidemiological data for prevention and cure and investigation of Cataract.Methods:984 cases in our Department of Ophthalmology from January 2003 to December 2007 were studied.Based on the classification of discharge diagnosis,the structure of ages,distribution of genders and nationalities,and economic standard in groups of patients were analyzed,as well as the constitutive proportions of each kind of Cataract.The data were then compared between two periods(2003 year and 2007 year).Result:In 5 years senile cataract for most important cause of disease constitution,the concurrency cataract,the traumatic cataract respectively be second,third,during 5 years and around two year various causes of disease constitutions have the difference,has statistics significance,in the around two years comparison also discovered the senile cataract constitutes compared to the existence drop tendency,but the concurrency cataract and the traumatic cataract present certain growth tendency,examines its growth change after statistics to have statistics significance;In the age distribution,the sex structure,and the nationality constitutes carries on during for 5 years and around two year constitution comparisons,not obvious difference;Are most in the different age group by 61-70 year old of age group example number,21-30 year old of age group example number are least;The masculine patient compares the feminine patient to be many,the male and female case of illness number ratio is 1.29:1;In 5 years cataract in hospital patient by the Han Nationality,the Uygur national minority primarily,in which Han Nationality patients is more than the Uygur national minority patients;southern and northern border division,the northern border patient is more than the southern patient obviously,the city patients is more than the countryside patient obviously,after statistics examination,its difference has statistics significance.Conclusions:Compared with the constitutive portions of hospitalized patients with Cataract in other hospitals,the restilts were not all the same in our Department of Ophthalmology.Senile Cataract was also the main part.
