Study Of The Effective Compound Of Fructus Cnidii On Anti-pruitic Effect And Mechanism

Fructus Cnidii is the dry mature fruit of Cnidium monnier (L) Cusson,which belongs to umbelliferae and Fructus Cnidii group.According to Shen Nong's Herbal,the efficacy of osthole are warming kidney to invigorate yang,eliminating wind, depriving the evil wetness, anthelminthic acting and which was used to anandria, uterus cold, aciesis,cold-damp fluor, damp-nose lumbago and external treatment of coleitis,cunnus eczema. It is usually used as external drug in the clinic, is one of the main drugs in treatment of common skin diseases,esp keeps obvious curative effect in skin pruritus. Fructus Cnidii also is the main herb in the prescription as external treatment,and is externally used in the civilian prescription to antimycoting,antiviral,expelling worm.In order to evaluate effective compound of anti-pruitic in Fructus Cnidii and mechanism of anti-pruitic,we have completed the following studies:1. The literature study contists of two parts:the frist is the summary of chemical composition, pharmacology and clinical use about Fructus Cnidii.The second is the research progress of skin pruritus in traditional Chinese medicine ,and it summarizes research method of skin pruritus in pharmacodynamics.2. The experimental study:it makes researches on Fructus Cnidii by using various experimental methods such as pharmacodynamics,anti-allergy experiments etc.the results reveal that Fructus Cnidii can obviously improve histamine phosphate itch threshold on guinea pig; can decrease itching frequency caused by Dextran ,and inhibit itching time in mice.It suppress mices auricular swelling induced by dimethybenzene and depress mice delayed type hyper-sensitive reaction(DTH) induced by DNCB. It also has obvious inhibitory effect on thecon-traction caused by histamine in vitio.And we find no hypersensitiveness reaction on skin of Fructus Cnidii that used externally. It has slight stimulation to both damaged and intact skin of guinea pig ,but the stimulation on skin can disappear completely after withdrawal. We can conclude that the effective compound of anti-pruitic in Fructus Cnidii has anti-pruritic effect with anti-histamine, anti-inflammator and antiallergic and is safe when used externally.
