Objective To explore the expression of cell adherin molecule CD44v6 and the inhibitor of apoptosis Survivin in the prostate carcinoma and its clinical value. Analyze the expression result in the different pathologic grades of prostate cancer, clinical stages and the relationship between the two factors. Methods Immunohistochemical method was used in detecting Survivin in 12 BPH and 34 Pca tissues. The expression of diversity of CD44v6 and Survivin in BPH and Pca tissue, various pathological types and clinical stages were closely studied. Results Negative stain was found in Survivin and in CD44v6 in all 12 BPH tissues. Of 34 cases of Pca tissues, 28 were positive stains in Survivin and 22 were positive stains in CD44v6. The expression of Survivin and CD44v6 in carcinoma tissues was evidently higher than the non-carcinoma ones (P<0.01). There were significances among the different pathological grades of the Survivin and CD44v6 expression (P<0.05). With the increasing clinical stage of Pca, the number of positive stain was also increasing, and it reached the statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusions1.The expression of Survivin and CD44v6 is abnormal in Pca. 2.The expression rates of CD44v6 and Survivin in Pca paraffin sections correlate with the pathologic grades of cancer and clinical stages.3.The two factors have no relationship in the generation development and metastasis of the Pca...
