Objective: To discuss the relationship of three kinds of TCM symptom-types: deficiency of heart-Qi, deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood, deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood and toxin, and some objective indexes and heart function, to check the hypothesis of the mechanism of development about TCM syndrome-types in CHF patients.Method:90 CHF patients were divided into three groups of deficiency of heart-Qi, deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood, deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood and toxin by their clinical symptoms. And 20 healthy persons were enrolled in a control group. Blood brain natriuretic peptide( BNP), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), D-dimmer, C reactive protein (CRP), and cardiac function of each group were measured. Results:Highly significant difference was found in patients of different groups(P<0.01). Deficiency of heart-Qi group was found much more common in heart function gradeⅠ(P<0.05),while deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood group in heart function gradeⅡ~Ⅲ(P<0.05),and deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood and toxin group in heart function gradeⅢ~Ⅳ(P<0.01).Compared with heart function grade: group of deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood and toxin> group of deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood>group of deficiency of heart-Qi .Compared with the variation of BNP,LVEF,D-dimer,CRP of each group respectively: group of deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood and toxin> group of deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood>group of deficiency of heart-Qi. The difference of each group has statistical significance(P<0.05). Analyzed by Spearman correlation analysis ,it shows that three kinds of TCM symptom-types and cardiac functional grading have a significantly positive correlation to BNP, D-dimer and CRP(P<0.05),but a significantly negative correlation to LVEF(P<0.05).Conclusion: CHF patients were more severe gradually from deficiency of heart-Qi, deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood, to deficiency of Qi and stasis of blood and toxin. And toxin could be an independent risk factor for CHF patients.
