Objective: To study the correlation between B-type natriuretic peptide (B-typenatriuretic peptide BNP) and cardiac insufficiency in patients with heart failureseverity, left ventricular diameter, IL-6and other factors of inflammation. Methods: selection of outpatient or hospitalization of patients with cardiacinsufficiency (NYHA grade II-IV, LVEF <40%)70cases,58cases of men andwomen12cases, age29-82, the average (61.36+11.48), all patients were meetFraminghan criteria for the diagnosis of heart failure. DCM56cases,12cases ofischemic cardiomyopathy, hypertensive heart disease in1case,1case of valvularheart disease. All patients receive the inspection of blood routine, liver function, kidney function, echocardiac graphy ECG, chest radiograph and related inspection, and testing neural hormone levels, and plasma norepinephrine, epinephrine, aldosterone, dopamine, angiotensin II and endothelin1, interleukin6, and so on. Withdouble antibody sandwich ELISA method for determination of blood concentration ofBNP, ET1was measured by quantitative ELISA method, the determination of IL-6using free method.Echocardiac graphy is completed by an experienced ultrasounddoctors in strict accordance with the American echocardiography guidelines onechocardiography, instruments for the United States GE company’s multi-functioncolor ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, probe frequency of3.0MHz.Results:1. Different patients with NYHA heart function classification, such asage, gender, general data is no significant difference (p>0.05), blood concentrationof BNP and comparing two groups have significant difference (p <0.05). Severitywith cardiac insufficiency is aggravating, blood BNP concentration increased.2. Blood BNP concentration and left ventricular end systolic diameter (ESD)were positively correlated (r=0.308, p <0.01), and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) was significantly negative correlation (r=0.392, p <0.01), and the leftventricular end-diastolic diameter (r=0.165, p=0.179) and left atrial size (r=0.163,p=0.163) showed no obvious correlation.3, the BNP and IL-6(r=0.344, p <0.344), ET1(r=0.686, p <0.01) werepositively correlated. Conclusion: severity with cardiac insufficiency is aggravating, blood BNP concentration increased. The BNP negative correlation with LVEF, and ESD, il-6andET-1were positively correlated, but the BNP and IL-6, the mutual influence of ET-1relationship remains to be further discussed.
