Thus, the development of appropriate analytical technology for the simultaneous determination of compositions with great disparity in content become a key issue in quality control of TCM.In this study, 'Xiangdan' injection and 'Huangqi' injection were selected as objects, an analytical method for the determination of compositions with great disparity in content of TCM preparation was established using column switching technology combined with programmed injection. The main content of this study is presented as follows:(1) This study developed a novel HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of Danshensu, Protocatechualdehyde, Salvianolic acid B, and Nerolidol in 'Xiangdan' injection and quality analysis of samples from different batches and manufacturers using column switching technology combined with programmed injection. This method was carried out by decreasing the injection volume of high content water-soluble phenolic acids while achieving the on-line enrichment of trace constituent Nerolidol.(2) This study developed a novel HPLC-ELSD method for the simultaneous determination of Astragaloside IV, Astragaloside II, and Isoastragaloside II in 'Huangqi' injection and quality analysis of different batches of 'Huangqi' injection using column switching technology combined with programmed injection.
