The Clinical Research In Treating Simple Obesity By Acupoint Catgut Embedding

Background:Simple obesity is ong kind of chronic and metabolic disease,which not only damage the physiosychic healty of the patients,but also decline the quality of life and shorten the expected life-span.In the recent years,the rate of the onset in obesity is significantly increased.Following the progressing of the clinical and experiment of acupuncture,it's effects on the simple obesity become bigger and bigger.Objective:Analyse the treatment of acupoint catgut embedding on simple obesity.Methods:60 patients from the mingshi clinic were selected according to strict diagnosis criterion,divided to the treat group of 30 cases and the control group of 30 cases.We observed the multiple idex of each patient,such as weight,BMI,the circumferences of chest,lumbar,hip,total cholesterol(TC),triglycerde(TG),high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C).Then using the statistics method to analyse,for reaching the conclusion of the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment on simple obesity by acupoint catgut embedding.Results:the treat group totel effective rate is 83.33%,the control group reach to 86.67%,two groups have no statistical significance(P＞0.05).After treatment,the weight,BMI,the circumferences of lumbar,hip,TG,TC,LDL-C in two groups are decreased,HDL-C is increased.The data between before and after treatment has significance,but the same between the two groups has no statistical significance.The result showed that the method of acupoint catgut embedding could correct the fat blood on simple obesity. Conclusions:Acupoint catgut embedding is a new,simple,effective and non-side-effect way in acupuncture therapy.It is simpler than acupuncture,and spend less time in treating procedure but could maintain longer.Compare to boby acupuncture,it was equally eutherapeutic to simple obesity but more eutherapeutic in inhibiting orexis.
