The Study Of The Effect Of Caffeine On Kindled Models

Objective:To study the effect of caffeine on kindling development in rats,Find out the way of quenching and preventing the kindling.Methods:.To established the amygdala and pentylenetrazole(PTZ) kindling models, observe the effect of caffeine and caffeine combined with anti-epilepsy drugs on processes and seizure of kindling models.Results:We found caffeine had no influence on ADD of the kindling process (P>0.05),caffeine 2.5～10.0 mg·kg^-1 had excitement effect on kindled models(P<0.05).But it can reduce the ADD of amygdala kindling models and reduce the seizure of PTZ kindled models(P<0.05) combined with anti-epilepy drugs.Conclusion:It suggested that caffeine can enhance the effect of anti-epilepsy drugs.
