| Endometrial polyp is one of the common lesions of the uterine cavity,which can cause irregular vaginal bleeding,infertility and is prone to relapse after treatment. Moreover,it is possible of malignant change , whose etiology and pathogenesis remained undetermined yet now. The recent research indicates that the development of endometrial polyp is related to the following factors,such as the disequilibrium between estrogen and progesterone receptors,disproportion between proliferation and apoptosis of endometrial cells,influence of some drugs,gene mutation,cytokines,etc. Menopause , polyp size , abnormal uterine bleeding , the application of tamoxifen, high blood pressure and other factors may be involved in its malignant transformation. Transvaginal sonography and hysteroscopy play an important role in diagnoses and treatment. In this article,we reviewed its pathogenesis,diagnoses,treatment,correlation factors of relapse and canceration,in order to investigate the mechanism and characteristic of endometrial polyps,which is beneficial for clinical further research and treatment. |
