We report 2cases of SFTPs combining with review of literatures. Our aim is improve recognition to SFTPs, and we illustrate the cautions about giant pleura tumors.Methods A hospital-based, retrospective study was performed. Combining with review of literatures, we searched the database in our hospital between 2007-2008 and found 2records diagnosed as SFTP both underwent surgery and pathologic immunopathologic examination.Results Both of the cases are giant SFTPs and resected by surgery. One case is recurrent and malignant, the other case is benign. Both surgeries are difficult and rare.Conclusion SFTP is a rare tumor that diagnosis of SFTPs relies on a thorough immunopathologic examination of the resected tumors. Complete resection remains the mainstay of cure.
