Objective:To understand the medication status for patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS),who accepted treatment in Cardiovascular Medicine Department in our hospital.Methods:Randomly selected some cases,who were diagnosed as ACS in our hospital from September 2007 t0 March 2008 and the length of stay>24 hours,investigated their clinical characteristics and medication in hospital.Analysed the information with descriptive statistical analysis method.Results:84 cases enrolled,included 26 cases with unstable angina(UA),8 cases with non ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(NSTEMI) and 50 cases with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI).Among all the patients,the male were 61 cases(72.6%),the female were 23 cases(27.4%),male to female ratio was 2.65:1,and the average age was 59.7 years(34~88 years).For all the STEMI patients, the respective utilization rates of nitrates,β-blockers,ACEI/ARB,aspirin,clopidogrel, low molecular weight heparin,statins were 94%,84%,94%,100%,100%,100%and 90%,and for all the UA/NSTEMI patients,the respective utilization rates of nitrates,β-blockers,ACEI/ARB,aspirin,clopidogrel,low molecular weight heparin,statins were 97%,91.2%,67.6%,100%,100%,82.4%and 94.1%.Conclusion:At present,the basic medication for acute coronary syndrome in our hospital completely followed the internationally accepted guidelines.
