| Objective: To study and explore the neuroprotective effects and the further mechanism of phenolic alkaloids from the aloe polysaccharides (AP) on cerebral ischemia in rats. Methods: In order to observe the neuroprotective effect of (AP) on cerebral ischemia, the rats with incomplete cerebral ischemia were induced with fishing lines in the middle cerebral artery (MCAO) and then were executed at 24h, after cerebral ischemia. It was observed the effect of AP on the changes of ethology and pathomorphology due to nerve injury of rats with MCAO before and after treatments. HE staining was used to observe the changes of histomorphology. Electronic microscopy was used to study the ultrastructure of areas. It was detected the effects of AP on protein expression of c-fos and p53 with immunohistochemical method. Results: AP can significantly extend the ligation of bilateral common carotid artery and vagus nerve in mice the survival time of mice with acute cerebral ischemia reduce brain index and brain water content; can significantly improve symptoms of neurological behavior in rats and cerebral ischemia pathological changes organization to check the cerebral cortex of rat MCAO model of c-fos, p53 protein expression. Conclusion: AP on mice with acute cerebral ischemia to improve brainmetabolism and reduce ischemic brain edema, to protect the role of braintissue damage. Focal cerebral ischemia in rats with a neuroprotective effect, which may be related to aloe polysaccharides inhibit c-fos, p53 expression. |
