Goal:1,To evoke the society to pay close attention to the infertility patients' psychological and sexual status;2,To provide first hand data to analyze the infertility patients' psychological and sexual status in detail;3,To monitor infertility patients' psychological obstacles and sexual disturbances,so as to diagnose and treat at an earlier stage thus reducing the harm to the physical and mental health caused by infertility. 4,To raise the curative effect of curing infertility by choosing the treatment based on pathogenesis obtained through differentiation of symptoms and signs using Chinese medicines;5,To carry out education about sexual knowledge,so as to promote the infertility couples' sexual harmony and health;6,To state clearly the effect of psychological obstacles and sexual disturbances on infertility and to enrich the etiology of infertility.Methods:Select at random the infertility patients who visited the department of gynecology in the first hospital affiliated to Guang-Zhou University of TCM between 1/7/2008 and 20/5/2009,and accepted the investigation voluntarily as investigative objects.We use SCL-90 and self-command questionnaire about sexual status to investigate.All data was entered to the computer,and was statistically analyzed with SPSS16.0 software.Results:1,The psychological status the infertility patients under the different patterns of syndromes:â‘ Renal deficiency patients:The detection rate of each factor in SCL-90 which reached the low level was 0;â‘¡Stagnation of liver-QI patients:Each factor in SCL-90 which reached the low level was detected,with the detection rate of factor 2,4 and 6above 60%,factor 7 about 6%,factor 1,8 and 10 about 20%,factor 3 and 9 around 35%,factor 5 about 50%.â‘¢Phlegmatic hygrosis patients:among the factors which reached moderate severity,the detection rate of factor 6 reached above 14%,factor 2and 4about3%.â‘£Blood stasis patients:Among the detection rate of each factor in SCL-90 which reached the low level,the detection rate of factor 6 reached above 10%,factor 5 around 7%,factor 1,3 and 4 approximately 3%.2,The sexual status of different patterns of syndromes:Infertility patients'â‘ Renal deficiency patients:nearly 70%expressed that their aditus vaginae would shrink out of control occasionallycausing dyspareunia; above 40%expressed that their sexual partners ejaculation praecox;â‘¡Stagnation of liver-QI patients:nearly 30%expressed that they would feel aversion when having sex with their partners;nearly 60%expressed that they would have algopareunia;nearly 15%expressed that they would feel anxietas and fear occasionaily;above 10%expressed that sometimes they would avoid sexual life;above 85%expressed that they would ask for help through internet;â‘¢Phlegmatic hygrosis patients:nearly 30%expressed that their vaginal lubrication was not enough when using condoms and before or after menstruation;when sexual problems arise,nearly 65%expressed that they would seek help through books,about 20%through friends;above 40% expressed that their partners were not very interested in sex;above 40% expressed that they could not keep sexual arousal until sex endedâ‘£Blood stasis patients:above 35%expressed that they occasionally achieved orgasm; above 20%expressed that she would feel anxietas and fear occasionally; above 10%expressed that sometimes she would avoid sexual life.Conclusion:Most infertility patients have different degrees of mental and sexual problems,which should be studied closely by the society.The psychological status and sexual status of different infertility patients are different.It is necessary to give them psychological guidance and sexual education accordingly.
