Clinical Observation Of Tonification And Reduction By Lifting And Inserting Manipulations To Cure The Patients With Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Protrusion

Research purpose:to observe the therapeutic effect of tonification and reduction by lifting and inserting manipulations to cure the lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion,to probe into the mechanism,and to explore a therapy which has exact therapeutic effect and is easy to operate.Research methods:60 patients with LIDP were randomly divided into two groups, with 30 cases in each group,which were the treatment group treated by acupuncture with tonification and reduction by lifting and inserting manipulations and the control group treated by electro-acupuncture.The same acupoints were chosen for treatment.The treatment frequency was five times a week,once every day and after two days' rest,it continued.The treatment course lasted for two weeks.The therapeutic effect was estimated after two weeks according to《Diagnosis Curative Effect Standard in TCM》published by State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1994 and(M-JOA), VAS established by Japanese Orthopedic Association in 1984.Reseach results:according to radit test,the comparision of therapeutic effect in two groups after treatment showed that the difference has significant meaning(P＜0.05).According to M-JOA integration,VAS grade,The patients had sinigficant improvement after treatment.According to matching T test,the comparision within the two groups before and after the treatment showed that the difference had significant meaning(P＜0.05.According to two independent sample T test,the comparision of two groups' M-JOA integration difference after treatment showed significant meaning(P＜0.05 ).According to two independent sample T test,the comparision of two groups' VAS grade difference after treatment showed significant meaning(P＜0.05). Reseach conclusion:both acupuncture with tonification and reduction by lifting and inserting manipulations and electro-acupuncture can effectively relieve patients' clinical symptoms and signs,increase two groups' M-JOA grade integration,decrease VAS grade,and relieve pains.The total effects of treatment group were better than control group after treatment,the changes of treatment group' s M-JOA grade and VAS grade were much more significant.Besides,the comparision of two groups had statistical significance.It proved that the treatment group had distinct advantage in improving patients' symptoms and signs and relieving pains.
