Objective: To understand the diagnosis and differential diagnosis and treatment strategies with chronic natural killer cell leukemia, meanwhile to assess the prognosis of this disease.Methods: Introduce one case with chronic natural killer cell leukemia admitted to our hospital and review the literatures.Results: Chronic natural killer cell leukemia is a rare natural killer cell neoplasm with its own clinical manifestation, morphology and immunophenotype. The observed variation in clinical course and phenotype may reflect clonal heterogeneity. Most patients present with a chronic, indolent course. In rare cases, the disease transforms to aggressive NK cell leukemia.Conclusion: Cytology, immunophenotype and clinical presentation is of great importance in the diagnosis of chronic natural killer cell leukemia and is the basis of correct stratification diagnosis and therapy.
