ObjectiveTo compare pylorus-preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy (PPPD) with conventional pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD) of postoperative recovery and early postoperative effects.MethodsTo retrospective analyze 98 patient's medical history information to accept pancreatoduodenectomy of our hospital from January 2002 to November 2008,compare 22 cases PPPD with 76 cases PD in the same period of postoperative recovery.ResultsPPPD group's operative time, postoperative hospitalization days are less than PD group's,There were significant differences(P<0.05). PPPD group is slightly lower postoperative complications(22.73%) than PD group(36.84%), postoperative gastric tube placement time, eating time is less than PD group, but there was no statistical difference. The incidence of delayed gastric emptying of PPPD group is greater than PD group, but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).ConclusionsPPPD itself does not affect the postoperative recovery of patients and the occurrence of delayed gastric emptying, it has a wide application prospect of surgery in the treatment of pancreatic cancer and periampullary cancer.
