Objective:1.To study the distributive features of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome of Type2 Diabetes combined with Hypertension(DH) patients.2.To analyze the correlations, such as FPG,CHO,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,between the main syndrome elements of DH patients and physical and biochemical indexes. Methods:In this study, the distributive features of Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome of type2 diabetes combined with hypertension(DH) patients are concluded by the collection of the general and the four TCM diagnostic materials of the public coincident with adoptive standards in the outpatients at The First Hospital of Xiamen or the patients engaged in the 3rd National Diabetes General Survey of Xiamen district, the following TCM identification and theory of syndrome elements and combination of syndrome elements:the correlation between these indexes and patterns are studied, based on the examination of the various physical and biochemical indexes and comparing analysis of the indexes of main syndromes group between them.Results:1.The main patterns of DH were two pattern combinations with 47 cases(accounted for 39.2%) and three pattern combinations with 33 cases(27.5%).2.The main syndrome elements in the patterns of DH were syndrome blood stasis(79 cases, accounted for 65.8%).dryness-heat(63 cases,52.5%),qi deficiency(47 cases,39.2%)and phlegm-dampness(32 cases.26.7%).3.In 120 DH cases, there were 48 types of patterns, including excess pattern 47 cases accounted for 39.2%;deficient 11 cases accounted for 9.2%and deficiency-excess complex pattern 62 cases accounted for 51.7%. 4.Among the patterns in 120 DH cases, the most syndromes are dryness-heat(15 cases, accounted for 12.5%),the others are phlegm-dampness combined with blood stasis and dryness-heat(9 cases,7.5%),blood stasis(8 cases,6.7%),qi deficiency combined with blood stasis and qi deficiency with dryness-heat and blood stasis(respectively 6 cases,5%),qi deficiency with phlegm-dampness and dryness-heat,dryness-heat and heart deficiency combined with blood stasis(respectively 5 cases,4.2%).The patterns above account for 49.2%Of all cases.5.The BMI of dryness-heat groups was higher than that of the none dryness-heat groups(P<0.05),the FPG of dryness-heat groups was significantly higher than that of the none dryness-heat groups(P<0.01);BMI and FPG of phlegm-dampness groups were both higher than those of the none phlegm-dampness groups(P<0.05);non-significant difference was observed by comparing the blood stasis groups with the none blood stasis groups, and qi deficiency groups with none qi deficiency groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.The most common syndrome elements of DH are syndrome qi deficiency, blood stasis, phlegm-dampness and dryness-heat.2.The mechanism of DH featured by excess pattern,deficiency-excess complex and multiple pattern combinations is complex.3.The common patterns of DH are dryness-heat combined with blood stasis, phlegm-dampness combined with blood stasis and dryness-heat,blood stasis,qi deficiency combined with blood stasis,qi deficiency with dryness-heat and blood stasis,qi deficiency with phlegm-dampness and dryness-heat,dryness-heat and heart deficiency combined with blood stasis:and the uppermost pattern combination of MS is dryness-heat with blood stasis combined with other elements.4.BMI and FPG of Type2 DH patients with dryness-heat or phlegm-dampness pattern were both higher than the corresponding contrast, which showed that a high BMI or FPG could be the reference index of dryness-heat and phlegm-dampness,the two Chinese medical patterns of DH.
