Objective:Hypoxia-inducible factor 1α(HIF-1α) and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) levels in peripheral vein blood of patients with ST-segment elevation acute myocardial infarction(STEMI) were measured at different times and after emergency percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI),to explore HIF-1αand BNP level changes in patients; and to explore the relationship between the scope of myocardial infarction and HIF-1αlevels.Methods:50 patients with STEMI were Selected, and divided into 2 groups, group 1 patients for emergent PCI group (n=25), Group 2 patients did not undergo emergency PCI (n=25); separate healthy control group (n=25). all patients were phlebotomized at admission immediately , and 9 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 168 hours after onset, the level of HIF-1αwere measured, and BNP level were measured at immediately after admission, and 24 hours, 168 hours after onset too; levels of HIF-1αand BNP. in healthy control group in peripheral blood from fasting were measured just once.Results:①The level of HIF-1αin controls is 47.40±31.16pg / ml; BNP level is 42.7pg/ml(median).②In emergency PCI group:HIF-1αlevel of at immediately after admission, 9 hours, 12 hours after onset were higher than healthy controls,, and reduced its level as time going; and no significant difference to the control group; BNP level at immediately after admission, 24 hours's, 168 hours's after onset were higher than healthy control group's , and reached its peak at 24 hours's;③In non-emergency PCI group:the HIF-1αlevel at immediately after admission, 6 hours's, 12 hours's, 24 hours's were higher than healthy control's, and reach its peak at 12 hours's; while there is no significant difference among 48 hours'or 168 hours'of HIF-1αlevels and control's; BNP level at 24 hours or 168 hours after onset were higher than healthy control's, peak value appear at 168 hours after onset;④HIF-1αlevels in patients with STEMI at immediately after admission and myocardial infarct size was positively correlated;Conclusion:①In patients with STEMI, the level of HIF-1αat admitted to hospital immediately and myocardial infarct size is positively correlated;②The HIF-1αlevel in non-emergency PCI group is dynamic changes, and higher than control's about 24 hours. :③Emergency PCI can significantly reduce the HIF-1αlevel;④The BNP level in patient with acute STEMI is higher than control's ,emergency PCI can significantly reduce the BNP level in patients with STEMI at 24 hours and 168 hours after onset.
