The Clinical Study On Treating Primary Acute Gout Arthritis Of "Damp-Heat Stagnate Syndrome" With Tongfengning Infusion

Objecctive : To evaluate the treating mechanism and effect of Tongfengning infusion on the primary acute gout arthritis of "damp-heat stagnate syndrome" by the clinical studyMethod: 60 Patients with primary acute gout arthritis which belong to the damp-heat stagnate sydrome were distributed to the treating group(the group treated with Tongfengning infusion) and the control group(the group treated with Tongsuting tablets,Voltaren and Probenecid tablets) randomly, each group with 30 patients.observed the main symptoms, signs,blood uric acid,erythrocyte sedimantation rate(ESR)and the change of the number of WBC of the patients of the two groups before and after the treatmeat respectively. then use SPSS 12.0 to deal with the data.Result: The total effective rate in the treated group was 93.33% which in the control group was 90 % respectively. Comparison between the two groups showed no significant differences (P>0.05). between the two groups showed no significant differences (P>0.05). The integral calculus of the main symptoms and signs,the blood uric acid, ESR, the number of WBC of the primary acute gout arthrtis of the two goups descend obviously before and after treatment with statistics significance(P<0.01). The comparison between the two groups showed no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusions: Tongfengning infusion has clearing heat and poison, facilitating urine ,to remove dampness, which would control and release the main symptoms and sign of gout, reduce the blood uric acid ,ESR and the number of the WBC of the patients.
