To Compare The Effect Of Budesonide, Budesonide Plus Furmoterol, Budesonide Plus Theophylline Therapy On Outcome In Stable COPD

ObjectivesTo discuss the benefits and safety of low-dose Aminophylline for treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) through observing clinical efficacy, all kinds of index and side reaction of using Aminophylline combined with Budesonide to treat stable COPD.Methods119 cases of stable COPD(stage II and III)were divided into four groups:30 cases using Budesonide, 28 cases using Budesonide plus Aminophylline, 30 cases using Budesonide plus Formoterol and the other 31 cases were control group. The observing cycle was 6 months. To compare the index of four groups including The St George's Resp iratory Questionnaire ( SGRQ) , walking distance of 6 minutes and pulmonary function between pretherapy and post-treatment and analysis the digital with SPSS 13.0. P<0.05 is a significant difference.Results:1. Symptom: Between three treatment groups and a control group, symptoms of treatment groups were all improved(P < 0.05) rather than among three treatment groups(P>0.05).2. Walking distance of 6 minutes: 6-MWD in three treatment groups were improved(P>0.05 during 3 months and P < 0.05 after 6 months).3. Pulmonary function: after 6 months, Pulmonary function of using Budesonide treatment groups were not higher than control group(P>0.05). Pulmonary function of using Aminophylline combined with Budesonide and Budesonide plus Formoterol treatment groups were higher than control group(P < 0.05).4. Side reaction: Side reaction among four groups had no significance(P>0.05).Conclusions1.The efficacy of Budesonide, Budesonide plus Aminophylline and Budesonide plus Formoterol to treat stable COPD is reliable.2.The efficacy of Budesonide plus Aminophylline or Budesonide plus Formoterol is better than only using Budesonide to treat COPD.3. Budesonide plus Aminophylline, compared with Budesonide plus Formoterol, should be choosed by clinical treatment of stable COPD.
