Objective:1,To observe the changes of the serum concentration of soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9 ),before and after PCI( percutaneous coronary interventio) in patients with different types of the coronary artery disease, explore the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease and the changes of sICAM-1 and MMP-9 after PCI .2,To determine the relationship between sICAM-1 and MMP-9 in different types of coronary heart disease(CHD).Method:Acording the results of CAG(coronary angiography),66 patients were enrolled ,23 type A CHD patients with PCI ,type B 263CHD patients with PCI ,,20 persons whoes CAG was normal act as control group. Plasma concentrations of sICAM-1 and MMP-9 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Serial venous blood samples were obtained 1 day before and 24 hours after PCI .Results:1,There were no differences between the serum concentration of sICAM-1 in type A group and type B group as determined (P>0.05) before PCI;The concentration of sICAM-1 in type A and type B group was higher when compared to those found in control group before PCI(P<0.05) .After PCI sICAM-1 of type A and type B groups was significantly higher than that before PCI (P<0.05) . There was no change in control group(P>0.05) after PCI.2,The Serum concentration of MMPs-9 in type A group and type B group was higher when compared to that found in control group before PCI(P<0.05).;There were no differences between the serum concentration of MMPs-9 in type A group and type B group as determined (P>0.05) before PCI; After PCI MMPs-9 of type A and type B group was higher than group(P<0.05) . There was no change in control group(P>0.05) after PCI. 3,The change of concentration between MMPs-9 and sICAM-1 was positively correlated after PCI(r=0. 584, P<0.01).Conclusion:The increase of sICAM-1 and MMP-9 in patients of CHD suggest that it may promote the triggering and propagation of CHD. The increases of sICAM-1and MMP-9 after PCI may be correlated to the factors of crushing atherosclerosis like balloon inflation,in-stent and so on ,and aslo revascular after coronary injurying and refiow may be another reason .The increases of sICAM-1and MMP-9 are correlated to the degree of atherosclerotic plaques.
