PrefaceHuman breast cancer susceptibility gene 1(Breast cancer susceptibility gene 1, BRCA1) is a tumor suppressor gene,Which plays a tumor inhibitory effect in variety of important signal transduction pathways,and has a wide range of biological functions. In recent years,scholars have found its expression in lung cancer with chemotherapy efficacy and prognosis of close.Of lung cancer morbidity and mortality rates showed a rising trend in recent years.In 2002,the global statistics show that new cases of lung cancer was 135 million,accounting for 12.4%of new cases of cancer,deaths of 118 million,accounting for all the world's 17.6%of cancer deaths,ranking No.1 cancer.In China from 2000 to 2005,the incidence of lung cancer increased by 11.6 million,the number of deaths increased by 10.1 million,has consistently ranked first in cancer deaths,lung cancer has become China's first major cancer.To explore the BRCA1 in non-small cell lung cancer status and the laws,we have 104 cases of surgical specimens in our hospital carried out a retrospective study aimed at understanding the patient's pathological type,gender,histological grading,clinical stage and lymph node metastasis circumstances etc.and the relationship between the expression of BRCA1.MethodSelect 104 cases of non-small cell lung cancer by thoracic surgical resection specimens in ShengJing Hospital of China Medical University in 2007-2008.Of these patients,52 had squamous cell carcinoma,52 had adenocarcinoma;63 were male,41 were female;aged from 37 to 78 years old,with a median age of 61.5 years.Their stages were determined according to the TNM of UICC2002,40 cases inⅠperiod,40 cases inⅡperiod and 24 cases inⅢperiod.The histologic classification according to WHO classification,31 cases in G1,38 cases in G2 and 35 cases in G3.Select 50 cases which nearby normal lung tissues as control.Using immunohistochemical SP method to observe the expression of BRCA1.BRCA1-positive standard:which appear brown intracytoplasmic granules was positive.When the number of positive cells less than 10%was "-",more than 10%was "+." Statistical analysis by x~2 test SPSS12.0 software.ResultsBRCA1 in non-small cell lung cancer tissues was significantly higher than adjacent tissues,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.01).In lung adenocarcinoma,high histological grade,middle and BRCA1 expression in poorly differentiated rates were 76.9%,42.1%and 20.0%,its expression increased with the degree of adenocarcinoma histologic waning,the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).In lung squamous cell carcinoma,clinical stageⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲstages of BRCA1 expression rates were 85%,75%and 41.7%,its expression with the clinicopathological stage squamous cell carcinoma of the improvement of the lower,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion1.BRCA1 in non-small cell lung cancer tissues was significantly higher than adjacent tissues.2.BRCA1 has no difference in lung squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma.3.BRCA1 in non-small cell lung carcinoma unrelated to sex.4.BRCA1 expression with adenocarcinoma of the degree of histological waning.5.BRCA1 positive expression with the clinicopathological stage squamous cell carcinoma of the improvement decreases.6.BRCA1 positive expression unrelated to lymph node metastasis.
