OBJECTIVE:To observe and discuss the opposing needling by collating of the literatures. Hope to be recognizing this needing methods Systematically and comprehensively.Find the advantages and characteristics on clinical so that provide the guidance to the further studyMETHOD:According to what I have learned from philology and catalogy,using the Basic Chinese Ancient Library to collected the ancient literatures.Using the datebases to collected the literatures form the 1979 to 2009.Induce and summary these literatures with two aspects. In the first is theoretical study and discuss,including the location of disease,the principles of select acupuncture points,selection criterion of acupuncture apparatus,the basic theories of this needing methods.In the second is In the second is clinical literatures analysis and discuss, including the clinical application and experimental research.Analyzed with emphasis in the clinical literatures analysis.Using the frequency statistic method to the clinical literatures and hope to provide the helps to clinic.RESULTS:There are 197 ancient literature,which involved with the 37 medicine writings and 147 modern literatures.I find there are 167 Ancient literature and 21 modern literature in the aspect of theoretical study and there 30 ancient literature and 106 modren literature in the aspect of clinical literature analysis.CONCLUSION:The aspect of the theoretical research and dicuss:The opposing needling was frist seen in the yellow emperor's canon of Internal Medicine (neijing).Nearly all of the scholars of later ages are explain the opposing needing according to neijing.There are aboat five different opinions aboat the explantations of chinese character "ju",since it came out.The pathogeny of this needlings methods was that pathogenic qi on one side of the body,and pathogeny appearance in the other side,.or the pathogenic qi is in one side of the body for sometimes and the symptoms are touches upon the other side.and concern to the opposite pulseThe pathogeny locality was in big Meridians,so that it relatively inside.The course of disease was relatively long,the trend of disease is ralativly serious.The principles of selectly acupuncture points of this needlings method was choose the meridians points in trunk and limbsThe criterion of acupuncture apparatus were filiform needle or long needle(thick needle). The opposing needing and the meridian needing is different methods. The method of upper and lower selectly points is not belong to the opposing needing.
