| Objective : To investigate the effects of glucosamine hydrochloride on the experimental rheumatiod arthritis in rats. Methods: The experiments apply adjuvant arhritis rats as pathological model. Fifty female/male rats were randomly divided into five groups. The volume of paws were detected. Made mineral wax sections with left ankle removed from the rats for HE staining to observe the carilage and synovium . And secrum TNF—αlevels were measured with ELISA.Results: We can see that articular cavity is filled by inflamation cells and cartilage is destroyed. But disappointedly, the result cannot be analyzed for wrong research design.Compared with AA group, the volume of paws were remarkably reduced (P<0.05); the contents of TNF—αin serum significantly decreased(P<0.05 or P<0.01). No differences were found in the parameter among GH group, MTX group and GHM group (P>0.05).Conclusion: These observation suggest that high does of glucosamine can suppress the progression of adjuvant arthritis in rats. Glucosamine Hydrochloride plays an important role in anti-inflammation in RA. |
