| [Purpose]The subject is studying the nourishing kidney and regulating brain method for the cerebral palsy in type of liver and kidney defieiency. To observed: (1) the curative effects of the nourishing kidney and regulating brain method; (2) the clinical effects of the nourishing kidney and regulating brain method treated the patients in the different crouse; (3) the clinical effects of the nourishing kidney and regulating brain method treated the patients at different age.[Methods]The study raised 60 children of cerebral palsy of the deficieney of liver and kidney were divided into 2 groups by a nurse using a random number generated by the computer. Group1 (nourishing kidney and regulating brain method):40 cases were treated with body and scalp acupuncture and point injection. Body points were mainly in Du meridian. Scalp points were Four-shen points, Three-zhi points, Three-nie points, Three-nao points (That were named 'one-four' and 'three-three'). Dazhui, Shenshu and Zusanli were selected in point injection with 5ml Yixianguxian'an injection altogether. Group2 (single scalp acupuncture method): 20 cases were treated with single scalp acupuncture. scalp points included motor area, sensation area and foot-yungan area. Group 1 was also named therapeutic group, and group 2 was named contrast group. The patients of therapeutic group were treated 3 times a week and duration included 3 months. The treatment included 2 durations and 1 week's interval between these 2 durations. The observed time was before treatment, after 1 and 2 durations'treatment. The total curative effect rate, Activities of Daily Life(ADL), the relation of effect rate to duration, to age and the safety were evaluated.[Results](1) Compared to the contrast group, action of caring oneself, ability of cognition, movement and the totle scores of the therapeutic group after 1 duration have all significant differences, and comparison of ability of cognition is P<0.01, others are P<0.05;(2)Compared to the contrast group, action of caring oneself, ability of cognition, movement and the totle scores of the therapeutic group after 2 durations have all significant differences, P<0.01;(3)Clinical effective rate of the therapeutic groups is 92.5% after 2 durations, that of the contrast group is 55% , there is a significant difference between both sides by X~2 test, P<0.01;(4)The effective rate of the therapeutic groups is 92.5% after 2 durations, that is 67.5% after 1 durations, there is a significant difference between both sids by X~2 test, P<0.01;(5)After 2 durations, the effective rate in the children of below 3 years old in the therapeutic group is 100%, that of in the children of between 3-7 years old is 72.72%, there is a significant difference between both sides by X~2 test, P<0.01;(6)According to the criterion of safety evaluation,it is shown that 1,2 level reach 100%, no 3,4 level.[Conclusions]The clinical observation shows, the total curative effects of nourishing kidney and regulating brain acupuncture methods is better than that with single scalp acupuncture in the treatment of cerebral palsy. And the improvement of general functions of nourishing kidney and regulating brain method is better than that of single scalp acupuncture method especially in the ability of cognition, movement, action of caring oneself . The total curative effect after 2 durations is better than that after 1 duration in the therapeutic groups. That means longer duration, more effects. In the therapeutic group, the total curative effect in the children of below 3 years old is better than that of in the children of below 3-7 years old, and that means more younger, more effects. Nourishing kidney and regulating brain method is effective in the treatment of cerebral palsy in the type of liver and kidney defieiency and the effect is better than single scalp acupuncture method, and it is safe, effective and no poison-side effect, so it is deserved to popularized. |
