| ObjectiveTo identify the correlated risk factors that may have relationship with renal involvement in childhood henoch-schonlein purpura(HSP).Methods108 patients with HSP were divided into purpura nephritis (HSPN) and non-nephritis groups, the patients were admitted in pediatrics of the first hospital of china medical university between January 2007 and December 2008. Such factors as gender, age, clinical and laboratory tests were dealt with by univariate analysis and multivariate analysis.ResultsThere are 50 cases(46.3%) in 108 HSP were with kidney damage, Age(≥8y), persistent purpura(≥1 month) and gastrointestinal bleeding were closely related to the occurrence of HSPN, Logistic regression analysis had statistical significance (P<0.05).ConclusionsAge(≥8y),persistent purpura(≥1 month) and gastrointestinal bleeding were risk factors for renal involvement in HSP. The HSP patients who have such three factors should be closely monitored in terms of treatment and positive measures taken to prevent the occurrence of kidney damage and progress. |
