| ObjectivesThe purpose of this resarch is to analyse the common symptoms and physical signs on the patients with recidivism colorectal polyps, to evaluate the distributable regulation of traditional Chinese medical (TCM) syndrome and to investigate the traditional Chinese medical (TCM) body constitution in recidivism colorectal polyps. So provide the basis for diagnosis, prevention and treatment about the recidivism colorectal polyps.MethodWe diesign the recidivism colorectal polyps of TCM syndrome questionnairea and TCM body constitution questionnairea according to the literature research and advice of experts. Then we use the clinical epidemiological survey research methods,collect four methods of physical examination in patients, establish the TCM syndrome information databases. After that, we apply descriptive statistics, cluster analysis, system statistical methods to the analysis of distribution law in recidivism colorectal polyps of TCM syndrome. At the same time, according to systemic standard we evaluate and determine the type of the patients'TCM body constitution. Finally, in the basis of above-mentionded, we creat data sheet and then we analyze the distribution law of recidivism colorectal polyps on TCM syndrome and TCM body constitution.ResultCollected a total of 97 cases,59 cases are male (60.8%),38 cases are female (39.2%). The proportion of male to female is 1.55:1. The youngest is 14 years old, the oldest is 87 years old, the mean age is 59.70±12.33 years.1. Statistical analysis of General information:The proportion of male to female is 1.55:1, which suggest that male prevalence rate of recidivism colorectal polyps is higher than female. Incidence rate of age 60 years old to 70 years old is 40%, which indicate that elderly patients'prevalence is higher than other age groups.2. Relaspe frequency of colorectal polyps:Relaspe 1 time are 75 cases (77.3%), relaspe 2 times are 15 cases(15.5%), relaspe 3 times or more than 3 times are 7 cases (7.2%). Among the cases which relaspe 3 times or more than 3 times,4 cases relapse 3 times(4.2%),1 case relapse 4 times(1.0%),1 case relapse 6 times (1.0%),1 case relapse more than 6 times(1.0%).3. According to cluster analysis,97 patients are mainly divided into 5 types:Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis type(43.3%), Wetness-heat with blood stasis type(26.8%), Spleen-asthenia and wetness-heat type(18.6%), Qi stagnation and blood stasis type(8.2%), Qi and Yin deficiency type(3.1%). Frequency:Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis type>Wetness-heat with blood stasis type>Spleen-asthenia and wetness-heat type>Qi stagnation and blood stasis type>Qi and Yin deficiency type.4. Preliminary statistical analysis shows that there is not significant difference between sex, recurrent times and the distribution of TCM syndrome in recidivism colorectal polyps.5. There is significant difference between age and the distribution of TCM syndrome Type in recidivism colorectal polyps (P<0.05).40 to 49 years old patients and patients over 60 years old are mainly Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis type; 50 to 59 years old patients are mainly Wetness-heat with blood stasis type (33.3%) and Qi stagnation and blood stasis type(25.0%).6. There is not significant correlation between Spleen-asthenia/ Qi-asthenia type syndrome, Nonspleen-asthenia/Non-Qi-asthenia type syndrome and the recurrent times; There is not significant correlation between Blood stasis type syndrome, Nonblood stasis type syndrome and the recurrent times. But there is significant correlation between Wetness-heat type syndrome(P <0.05), Nonwetness-heat syndrome and the recurrent times. Among those cases, the patients that relapse 2 times or more than 3 times (including 3 times) are majorly belong to Wetness-heat type syndrome, accounted for 73.3% and 71.4%.7. TCM body constintution of recidivism colorectal polyps:Qi-asthenic constitution or tendency of Qi-asthenic constitution(48.5%), Wetness-heat constitution or tendency of Wetness-heat constitution(29.9%), Blood stasis constitution or tendency of blood stasis constitution(7.2%), Qi-stagnation constitution or tendency of Qi-stagnation constitution(7.2%), Phlegm-wetness constitution or tendency of Phlegm-wetness constitution(4.1%), Yang-deficiency constitution or tendency of Yang-deficiency constitution(2.1%), Yin-deficiency constitution or tendency of Yin-deficiency constitution(1.0%). Frequency:Qi-asthenic constitution or tendency of Qi-asthenic constitution>Wetness-heat constitution or tendency of Wetness-heat constitution>Blood stasis constitution or tendency of blood stasis constitution=Qi-stagnation constitution or tendency of Qi-stagnation constitution> Phlegm-wetness constitution or tendency of Phlegm-wetness constitution>Yang-deficiency constitution or tendency of Yang-deficiency constitution> Yin-deficiency constitution or tendency of Yin-deficiency constitution.8. Patients between 40 to 49 years and patients over 60 years mainly are Qi-asthenic constitution or tendency of Qi-asthenic constitution; Patients under 39 years old and patients between 50 to 59 years old majorly are Wetness-heat constitution or tendency of Wetness-heat constitution. Cases between 40 to 49 years old are Qi-asthenic constitution or tendency of Qi-asthenic constitution accounted for 66.7%; Cases between 60 to 69 years old are Qi-asthenic constitution or tendency of Qi-asthenic constitution accounted for 50.0%; Cases between 70 to 79 years old are Qi-asthenic constitution or tendency of Qi-asthenic constitution accounted for 73.3%; Cases between 80 to 89 years old Qi-asthenic constitution or tendency of Qi-asthenic constitution accounted for 60.0%. In the 97 cases, only 1 case is under 30 years old, which is belonged to Wetness-heat constitution or tendency of Wetness-heat constitution. Cases between 30 to 39 years old are Wetness-heat constitution or tendency of Wetness-heat constitution accounted for 66.7%; Cases between 50 to 59 years old are Wetness-heat constitution or tendency of Wetness-heat constitution accounted for 33.3%. 10. There is a significant difference between recurrent frequency and the distribution of TCM body constitution(P<0.05). Cases which relapse 1 time major are Qi-asthenic constitution or tendency of Qi-asthenic constitution(57.3%), cases which relapse 2 times and more than 3 times(including 3 times) majorly are Wetness-heat constitution or tendency of Wetness-heat constitution(accounted for 66.7%,71.4%).Conclusion1. The morbidity rate in male may be higher than in female, the incidence in elderly patients may be higher than other age groups. Among the patients with recidivism colorectal polyps, a minority of them maybe appear that polyps relapse for many times although they have been treated with endoscopic resection/treatment.2. The main TCM syndromes:Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis type, Wetness-heat with blood stasis type, Spleen-asthenia and wetness-heat type, Qi stagnation and blood stasis type, Qi and Yin deficiency type. Frequency: Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis type>Wetness-heat with blood stasis type >Spleen-asthenia and wetness-heat type>Qi stagnation and blood stasis type >Qi and Yin deficiency type. Pathogenic factors attack the body, stay in it and deplete the healthy-Qi. The function of intestine is in disorder, so Qi activity also disorder. The meridian is be arrested, blood stasis and wetness-heat stalemate in the intestine. This is the basic pathogenesis of the disease.3. There is no significant correlation between sex, recurrent times and the distribution in five types of the recidivism colorectal polyps TCM syndrome.4. There is a significant difference between age and the distribution of recidivism colorectal polyps TCM syndrome Type.40 to 49 years old patients and patients over 60 years old are mainly Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis type; 50 to 59 years old patients are mainly Wetness-heat with blood stasis type and Qi stagnation and blood stasis type.5. About the patients with recidivism colorectal polyps, according to the complicacy of TCM syndrome, we divide the TCM syndrome into Wetness-heat type syndrome and Nonwetness-heat type syndrome. The recurrent times in Wetness-heat type syndrome are more than in Nonwetness-heat type syndrome. There is probability that Wetness-heat type syndrome is relapse easilier than Nonwetness-heat type syndrome.6.
