Backgounds:Exercise-induced fatigue, a common disorder in sports medicine, is a condition under which a transient decrease in exercise ability appears after long time exercise and human body's physiological and psychological activities neither be maintained at some level nor afford the original exercise intensity. Exercise-induced fatigue, which is considered as a physiological phenomenon, acts as a protective mechanism in human body. But if fatigue often occurs, it will bring on a bad outcome which is harmful to body health. Therefore, researching and preventing exercise-induced fatigue has now been an important task which needs to be completed by medical corps. At present, it is gradually known that anti-fatigue drugs, some of which possibly contain stimulant components, are harmful to human body due to adverse reaction. As a safe and effective therapeutic approach, widely used acupuncture helps to alleviate exercise-induced fatigue multidirectionally via clearing free radicals, antagonizing lipid peroxidation, eliminating muscular pain and correcting neuro-endocrine-immune disorder. Objective:This research firstly inquires into improving the performance of the function and mechanism of zu san li,Pi Yu, tai chong etc with covering up a line, by observing acupuncture points to cover up the line bears dint to the big rat swimming of influence and cover up the variety of non-particularity in the front and back of the line immunity reaction. Methods:A total of 24 adult Wistar rats were divided into control group, embedding group and electroacupuncture group at random (n=8 per group) after adaptative swimming. Except the control group which was not given any treatment, the electroacupuncture group received electroacu-puncture at tsusanli, acupoint and point LR 3 with a continuous wave stimulation (15 Hz,2 mA) once every other day for seven days, and the embedding group received point catgut-embedding to stimulate the three points on the 2nd,7th and 13th day. The swimming duration of the last exhaustive exercise was recorded on the 15th day. After the end of behavior observation,2 ml of 5% chicken red blood cell solution was injected into abdominal cavity, and all the rats were executed 8 hours later. The liquid from the abdominal cavity was processed and detected under oil immersion lens for 200 macrophages among which the number of those phagocytosed chicken red blood cells was counted.Results:1. Swimming load test:The swimming duration of the embedding group and the electroacupuncture group was significantly longer on the 15th day than before acupuncture, which indicated obvious differece from the control group (P<0.05). There existed no significant differece between the embedding group and the electroacupuncture group.2. Phagocytic percentage and phagocytic index:They were significan-tly higher in the embedding group and the electroacupuncture group than in the control group on the 15th day (P<0.05). There existed no significant differece between the embedding group and the electroacupuncture group.Conclusion:1. Catgut-embedding and electroacupuncture to stimulate tsusanli, acupoint and point LR 3 can improve rats'exercise tolerance well, which confirms the effectiveness of acupuncture therapy on exercise-induced fatigue.2. Changes in immune function may play a role in the pathogenesis of exercise-induced fatigue.3. The anti-fatigue effect of point catgut-embedding to stimulate tsusanli, acupoint and point LR 3 may be related to the increase in nonspecific immune response.4. Acupuncture points'covering up line and electric needle treatment is equally effective in curing to exercise sex fatigue, but the first one is more obvious in the meaning on the clinical application, which the stimulation time is long, pain and sufferings is less, the times of seek medical advice is few, follow the doctor's advice obeying of patient is high, etc.
