Spirulina polycose andβ-carotene were extracted from Spirulina with the method of the organic solvent extraction in my experiment. By Luminex 200 system, the contents of ,IL-1α,IL-1β,IL-2,IL-3,IL-4,IL-5,IL-6,IL-9,IL-10,IL-12(p40),IL-12(p70),IL-13,IL-17,IFN-γ,TNF-α,G-CSF,GM-CSF,Eotaxin,KC,MCP-1,IP-10,MIP-1α,RANTES,VEGF, 24 kinds of cytokines were examined in the serum of Bal/c mice after orally administration, intraperitoneal injection and intravenous injection with Spirulina polycose,β-carotene,linoleic acid,γ-linolenic acid from non-protein materials in Spirulina, and the serum was collected after 3h, 2h, 2h separately. At the same time, we studied the effect on the human body with the different doses of Spirulina polycose (0.2g/day,0.4g/day,0.6g/day,0.8g/day,1.0g/day,1.2g/day)and the different doses ofβ-carotene(20mg/day,30 mg/day,40 mg/day,50 mg/day,60 mg/day,70 mg/day).By Luminex 200 system, the contents of 39 kinds of cytokines and chemokines in the serum of volunteers were examined. In addition, we studied the meridiam distribution of Spirulina polycose andβ-carotene.The results of Spirulina polycose showed that the contartions of IL-1α(p<0.01),IL-1β(p<0.05),IL-1(2p70)(p<0.01),IFN-γ,TNF-αand other inflammatory cytokines were increase; the contrations of anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-10(p<0.05),IL-4 were reduced. The effect on the cytokines in serum was different with different administration and different doses. It indicated that Spirulina polycose can enhance immune. From the results of point temperature with oral Spirulina polycose, we may consider that Spirulina polycose is attributabe to the Pedo-the liver meridian.The results ofβ-carotene in Spirulina showed thatβ-carotene can induce the secretion and the production of inflammatory cytokines, IL-1α(p<0.01),IFN-γ(p<0.05),IL-1β(p<0.05),MIP-1α(p<0.05), andβ-carotene was attributabe to the lung channel of hand taiyin.The results of linoleic acid in Spirulina showed that the contrations of IL-12(p40) (p<0.05),IL-1α(p<0.05),IL-1β(p<0.05)and other inflammatory cytokines were increased; the contrations of anti-inflammatory cytokines were reduced in orally administration and in the intraperitoneal injection. The contents of IL-10(p<0.05)and other anti-inflammatory cytokines were increased, but the contents od inflammatory cytokines were reduced.The results ofγ-linolenic acid in Spirulina showed that the contents of MIP-1α(p<0.01),IL-12(p40) (p<0.05)and other inflammatory cytokines were reduced; the contrations of anti-inflammatory IL-10(p<0.05)were increased in oral administration. In intraperitoneal injection, the contrations of inflammatory, TNF-α(p<0.05),IL-1β(p<0.05),IFN-γ(p<0.05) and anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-6(p<0.01),IL-10(p<0.05)were significantly increased. In intravenous injection, the contrations of inflammatory cytokines IL-1α(p<0.01),IP-10(p<0.05),IL-12(p40) (p<0.05)were increased.The non-protein substances in Spirulina prodece a marked effect through gastroin testinal mucosa immunity systerm. They activated the immune cells, and then the immune cells secreted cytokines. The cytokines contributed to the immune cells. Thus it becomes the complicated network between the immune cells and cytokines. In summary, the cytokine network can control the immune cell network, and the food in the intestinal tract can control the cytokine network.
