ObjectiveTo introduce 20 cases about the curative effects of Cervical Artificial Disc Replacement in treatment of degenerative disc diseasMethodsThis article is the retrospective study of 20 cases (patients of disc degeneration by single level or several levels) treated by cervical artificial disc replacement from September,2004 to April 2009. After surgery, we used JOA score system to grade the recovery of nervous system, and evaluated the motion of cervical spine, the height of cervical artificial disc, and the stability of the cervical artificial disc and the vertebraResultsFollowed up for 2 to 20 months, with on the average of 13 months, The symptom of cases had improved. According to JOA standard for evaluation, the rate of improvement was 84.8%。ConclusionsThe curative effect of cervical artificial disc replacement caused by the degenerative disc has been shown satisfied.
